"Exploring the streets of Paris and its' iconic Cathedrals, Palaces and Gardens right out of college, in my early 20's, imbued me with an intense desire to immerse myself in the world of Art and Design."  Ginny Moffitt

Childhood on a working farm with rolling hills, fields of hay, vegetables and flowers, surrounded by animals of all kinds and loving grandparents in Greenfield Hill, (back country Fairfield, CT) shaped her work as a artist.  Moffitt's day to day work as a Realtor,  Interior Designer and world traveler  took her away from painting for years.  Crossroads in life allowed her to carve out the time to paint and express her imaginative use of color which  brings the viewer deep within the painting for a respite, a "momentary meditation", an expression of peace and serenity amidst the raw power of Nature and the busyness of our world today. 

"At times I like to punctuate my work with gold leaf embellishments which adds a magical feeling about the subject matter.  I paint on canvas, brushed silver or white di-bond aluminum.  The gold leaf is in homage to fascinating and colorful illuminated manuscripts, Byzantine paintings and Gustav Klimt."

Ms Moffitt studied in New York City at the Art Student's League, with the Joffrey Ballet, Fairfield University, the University of Connecticut at Storrs, and the Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan.

Her work has been accepted in juried art exhibitions at the Artist's Loft, Stamford, the Carriage Barn Art Center, New Canaan, The Silvermine School of Art, New Canaan, the Maritime Gallery Museum, SoNo, Norwalk, and the Fairfield Public Library. 

Her work can be found in private collections in Branford, CT, Aldie Virginia, New Canaan and Graystone Advertising, Trumbull CT.
